There are several ways you can identify potential digital risks associated with your project, by first, creating a risk register of all possible risks involved in your project or activity; this should include both physical and non-physical threats. Secondly, identify key stakeholders. You must know who will be affected by any possibility of being exposed to cybersecurity threats. These include your internal staff, vendors, clients, customers and anyone who holds sensitive information and data.
With that you can mitigate the risk of cyber attacks through:
- Secure their networks by patching all known vulnerabilities and installing antivirus software on all workstations and servers;
-Ensure employees have strong passwords that are changed every 90 days;
-Implement two-factor authentication whenever possible;
-Train employees on best practices for handling sensitive information;
-Perform regular audits of network activity logs
